You are invited to email anytime with your comments, questions or suggestions, as

well as any horses you would like added to this database. Remember, this is a totally

free service for the cause of increasing the understanding of bloodlines and their

importance to our horses...Send your email to Julia@elmasri.net

You will find Straight Egyptian horses and other horses in this database. If they are Straight Egyptian they have the Title SE by their name.  Please click this LINK for other important information and definitions as you will see them on the pedigrees!

Reference Horses Name Lists

We will list the names of all horses in the Database on these pages. Just click the links and browse through the list. When you return to the SEARCH page, you may enter the horse's name and it should pull up all the horses that match that name. For instance Nazeer will pull up Nazeer and other horses with Nazeer in the name such as Rashad Ibn Nazeer, etc.

VERY IMPORTANT:  Horses that have been imported to a country have an * in their name in this database to distinguish them from horses that have not been imported. I am putting the * BEHIND the name for sorting purposes, so you will see Sunshine*  and not *Sunshine, as is most common!  Please realize when you see the asterisk * behind the name that it DOES mean Imported horse!

Reference Horses

Please enjoy our free Pedigree Database.  As anyone that has ever taken on pedigree research knows, there is a large amount of work involved in maintaining, improving and growing this Database.  The information it contains is as complete as we can humanly make it; however if you see errors, please bring it to our attention so it may be updated to the correct information.

Registration numbers are given by Volume and Page of any country's studbooks, with the exception of the AHR and CAHR numbers, so you will not see the actual registration number, but you will see something like SSB 1/P34 (Spanish Stud Book, Volume 1, Page 34).  If you see a Studbook designation such as GASB 3-2, it is not yet corrected to the actual studbook Volume for that country.

It only takes a few simple steps to display your Pedigree.

Select the number of generations you will want displayed in the pedigree. For most computer printers printing in Landscape mode, 5 generations seems to be the best choice.
Enter the name, or partial name, of the Arabian Horse to search for.
Select which database to use:
El Masri's database, over 16,000 entries. Last updated August 2006.
Perform fast search by full word.
Perform slow search by partial word, full word, or multiple words.
This is by far the best way to search! Click on the "Search Now" button below. This will begin the search. The database is very large, so do not be concerned if it takes a minute to see the list of matches.
